About Us
Doors Bespoke supplies made-to-order doors to private clients, architects and contractors. We work on projects where standard doors won’t do — unusual sizes, specific veneers and finishes, matched sets across a whole property.
We’re looking for one capable person to own the enquiry-to-order process: pricing the work, winning the order, and looking after the customer through to delivery. This is the main commercial role in the business — you’ll be the person the customer deals with.
The Role
• Take enquiries from architects, builders and private clients
• Review drawings and specifications, and price jobs accurately
• Prepare quotations, follow them up and convert them into orders
• Place orders with our manufacturers and check specifications before production
• Keep customers updated through to delivery and resolve queries quickly
• Keep clean records and keep an eye on margin — pricing accuracy is what makes the job profitable
Essential
• Estimating experience in doors, joinery or a related construction product
• Good working knowledge of timber and building materials — species, veneers, board types, finishes and ironmongery
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings
• Confident with numbers and detail. Pricing errors cost money
• Organised, with strong follow-through, and confident dealing with customers and suppliers
Desirable
• Understanding of door construction and how doors are hung and installed
• An interest or background in interior design
• Experience running several jobs at once
