Site Manager

Job Description

We’re a growing London construction company looking for a hands-on Site Supervisor to run sites day to day and help deliver a varied mix of projects to a high standard.

Reports to: Project Manager
Jobs: refurbishments, private house new builds and extensions, commercial projects, fire safety/M&E retrofit and structural remediation across London, often running 2–4 jobs at once

What they’ll do
– Run the sites, check the trades and make sure all work is built according to the drawings, flag any issues ahead of time, report changes and variations, and deal with subcontractors
– Coordinate subcontractors (M&E, joinery, cladding, decorators, groundworks) to the programme
– Quality control and snagging through to handover
– Daily site diary, photos and progress updates to the Project Manager
– Raise RFIs, flag variations and delays early, with evidence
– Check materials and quantities against orders and drawings
– Support the Project Manager in liaising with clients, CAs, architects and consultants on site, and escalate decisions to the Project Manager

What they’ll need
– Previous experience working on construction sites
– A good understanding of construction and how buildings go together
– Able to read and understand drawings and specs
– Early in their career, eager to learn and grow with the company
– Organised and good on paper: diaries, photos, email, and AI tools such as Claude
– Full UK driving licence

Nice to have
– Refurbishment or fit-out experience, ideally in occupied or sensitive buildings
– Structural experience (e.g. steels, underpinning, structural alterations)
– Experience working in the Orthodox Jewish community (shuls, schools, day centres, mikvaos)
